JMIR articles will appear as "related articles" in articles published in other journals and at other publishers.

Research has shown that TrendMD increased readership by 49% in a controlled study across 500 JMIR articles (see references below). Ongoing research also shows that dissemination through the TrendMD network increases saves to Mendeley, which may also lead to more citations.
